leave your comfort zone!

Bismillahirahmanirahim

[sharing from my beloved sister, kak s :)]

Leave your comfort zone

When you feel overwhelmed, just remember that for eagles, too, it's the price of flying! -Bettie B. Youngs

The mother eagle makes her nest high on a cliff's edge. So high, in fact, that the baby eagle is literally so terrified of its "free fall" that it will not leave the nest unless pushed out by its mother!

Imagine the confusion of the baby eagle when his mother, who up to this point has been nurturing and attentive, suddenly seems to turn on him, pushing him from the nest and forcing him to fly!

But, of course, in the end, pushed from the confines of a nest now outgrown, the baby eagle takes flight and learns that everything's going to be okay.

Because, you see, in the free fall, the young eagle learns to trust its wings!

It's an important lesson:

When your challenges seem overwhelming, when you feel frightened or confused, when you're being called to leave behind something familiar but outgrown, remember the baby eagle.

You, too, can soar - but first you'll have to leave the safety of your comfort zone!

Momentary "overwhelm" is to be expected, so don't let it stop you from reaching new heights in your life!

I will not fear the price of learning to "fly"! I will take one positive action that is outside my comfort zone.

O Allah, please guide us.
:)
yok, leave our comfort zone.
p/s: it's weird how the so-called "love" towards the other gender can actually motivate a person in
being successful in their studies.
ermm so, as muslims, the LOVE to Allah should motivate us more, not just being bright students
but
also successful in our daily life, in anything we do. y? because Allah's LOVE is moreeeeee powerful than the so-called "love" :)
berusaha!

a fighter

Bismilahirahmanirahim

Alhamdulillah
No doubt. Allah is the best of all inspirations :)
True, isn't it?
How HE has given strength to all our brothers and sisters to keep running and running until the end.
and one of the fighter is akhi mas afzal.

last saturday was the first time i ever heard his name. ruhul acknowledge me about a brother, graduated from sheffield, a fighter who just passed away [17.12.10] due to CANCER.
and yesterday, as i was in my down n upsetting mood, i came across a post about him - run akhi, run!

his blog has been inspirational for others with his strong faith in Allah in fighting the disease.
he manage to accomplished his MBBS meanwhile undergoing treatment.
and never never stop on 'giving' to others.
he never let the disease took hold of him. Allahuakbar!

these are some words i took from his blog

"I can only find contentment in my trial and tribulation by putting any negatives aside, and start thanking Allah for the blessings He has showered me with."

"Never abandon asking from Allah. If it is not Him, then NO ONE else can help us in this world, and in the Hereafter."

"Allah certainly has unique ways to show HIS Love"

and

"I wish i could tell each and everyone of them, that
If i am not letting this terminal cancer of mine stopping me from 'giving' to humanity, then what more for them, all fit and well. Let us all RISE to glory!"

which made me think very deeply.
how will i finish my race??

takziah to family & sahabat-sahabat akhi.

indeed, he didn't lose the race, but he finished it strongly.

Al-Fatihah~

"And remember also that your Lord forewarned, 'If you be grateful I will increase My favors on you, and if you be ungrateful (you should know that) My chastisement is severe indeed'!" [Ibrahim:7]

cuti

Bismillahirahmanirahim

Cuti bermula.

....

Sesungguhnya Allah Maha Pengasih, Maha Pengampun. Dan selagi mana Allah masih memberi peluang untuk jantung ini berdenyut, paru-paru ini bernafas, akal ini untuk berfikir, maka insyaAllah masih ada peluang yang Allah berikan pada kita.

But!

jangan take it for granted sebab jika kita tak gunakan peluang yang ada ini, mungkinkah ada peluang seterusnya?

wallahualam

[kuat!!!!]

be the best

Be The Best of Whatever You Are

by Douglas Malloch

If you can't be a pine on the top of the hill
Be a scrub in the valley--but be
The best little scrub by the side of the rill;
Be a bush if you can't be a tree.

If you can't be a bush be a bit of the grass,
And some highway some happier make;
If you can't be a muskie then just be a bass--
But the liveliest bass in the lake!

We can't all be captains, we've got to be crew,
There's something for all of us here.
There's big work to do and there's lesser to do,
And the task we must do is the near.

If you can't be a highway then just be a trail,
If you can't be the sun be a star;
It isn't by size that you win or you fail--
Be the best of whatever you are!

terus

Bismillahirahmanirahim

Teruslah bergerak, hingga kelelahan itu lelah mengikutimu.
Teruslah berlari, hingga kebosanan itu bosan mengejarmu.
Teruslah berjalan, hingga keletihan itu letih bersamamu.
Teruslah bertahan, hingga kefuturan itu futur menyertaimu.
Tetaplah berjaga, hingga kelesuan itu lesu menemanimu.

jazakillah uti2ku~

p/s: adik, bertahan ye
p/s2: uti iman, cilok kata 'uti' awk ye. sgt comel!

credits to dina

Bismillirahmanirahim..

SubhanAllah, Alhamdulillah, Allahu Akbar..

Alhamdulillah..
everytime i watch this video, it somehow makes me sad inside. how hard Ruben tried to find the truth..and Alhamdulillah Allah lead him to it..and how he appreciate what he got
but me, i was born as a muslim..but have i've done enough?
credits to dina for this wonderful video..[it just make me cry]
jazakillah ukhti!

sometimes..it just doesn't feels rite..
we see, we know..
because everything is there in front of us..
but we tend to 'close' our eyes and hearts and look away..

sometimes.. we keep it shut for too long until HE let it 'close' forever..
and our hearts starts to feel different..
it gets painted black..dark..ruined
and it becomes blacker each day..
until no more white..no more light..

we were told..but still we remained stubborn
we felt this was enough..
we felt that what we did is gotta get us through..
but we forgot..the journey is not as easy as it is..

and we tend to be happy with what we have..
money, beauty, love, brains..
but we forgot..this is not everlasting..
because this is HIS and none are ours..

and that place..will be everlasting..

O Allah!

"..Verily, it is not the eyes that grow blind, but it is the hearts which are in the breast that grow blind" [Al-Hajj (22) : 46]

The missing piece

Bismillahirahmanirahim

"Jihad is ordained for you [Muslims] though you dislike it, and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know" [Al-Baqarah: 216]

For those who didn't fit
And those who did.

It was missing a piece. And it was not happy.

So it set off in search of its missing piece.

And as it rolled, it sang this song

"Oh I'm lookin' for my missin' piece
I'm lookin' for my missin' piece
Hi-dee-ho, here I go,
Lookin' for my missin' piece"

Sometimes it baked in the sun

but then the cool rain would come down.

And somethimes it was frozen by the snow
but then the sun would come and warm it again.

And because it was missing a piece
it could not roll very fast
so it would stop to talk to a worm

or smell a flower
and sometimes it would pass a beetle

and sometimes the beetle would pass it

and this was the best time of all.

And on it went, over oceans

"Oh I'm lookin' for my missin' piece
Over land and over seas
So grease my knees and fleece my bees.
I'm lookin' for my missin' piece."

through swamps and jungles
up mountains

and down mountains

Until one day, lo and behold!

"I've found my missin' piece
I've found my missin' piece
So grease my knees and fleece my bees
I've found my..."

"Wait a minute" said the piece.
"Before you go greasing your knees
and fleecing your bees..."

"I am not your missing piece.
I am nobody's piece.
I am my own piece.
And even if I was somebody's missing piece
I don't think I'd be yours!"

"Oh"
it said sadly
"I'm sorry to have bothered you"
And on it rolled.

It found another piece

but this one was too small.

And this one was too big.

This one was a little too sharp.

And this one was too square.

One time it seemed to have found
the perfect piece

but it didn't hold it tightly enough
and lost it.

Another time
it held too tightly

and it broke.

So on and on it rolled,

having adventures, meet dangerous..

falling into holes

and bumping into stone walls.

And then one day it came upon
another piece that seemed to be just right.

"Hi" it said.
"Hi" said the piece.
"Are you anybody else's missing piece?"
"Not that I know of"
"Well, Maybe you want to be your own piece?"
"I can be someone's and still be my own."
"Well, Maybe you don't want to be mine."
"Maybe I do."
"Maybe we won't fit.."
"Well..."
"Hummmm?"
"Ummmmm!"

It fit!
It fit perfectly!
At last! At last!

And away it rolled
and because it was
now complete,
it rolled faster and faster,
Faster than it had ever rolled before!

So fast that it could not stop
to talk to a worm or smell a flower

too fast for a butterfly to land.

But it could sing its happy song,
at last it could sing
"I've found my missing piece"

And it began to sing
"I've frown my nizzin'geez
Uf vround my mitzin'brees
So krease ny meas
An bleez ny dregs
Uf frown..."

Oh my, now that it was complete
it could not sing at all

"Aha" it thought.
"So that's how it is!"

So it stopped rolling....

and it set the piece down gently,

and slowly rolled away

and as it rolled it softly sang

"Oh I'm lookin' for my missin' piece
I'm lookin' for my missin' piece
Hi-dee-ho,here I go,
Lookin' for my missin' piece."
